The Volunteer Center has become one of the most active and successful non-profits in our region and has taken the bull by the horns on the issue of nutrition and food security.

Carolyn Smith speaks with its Executive Director, Alicia Edwards, on just a few of its ambitious undertakings, its new Commons project nearing completion of construction, how just getting enough food to get through the day can seriously impact our children and how volunteers are making a difference.
