Climate Change and Sustainability are very serious challenges to our world view and the entrenched economic interests that define our “Our Way of Life.”  This week’s program features Deb James, retired teacher at Aldo Leopold High School and climate and local sustainability activist who serves on the Local Sustainability Advisory Committee.

Donna Stevens – Executive Director of Upper Gila Watershed Alliance hosts this week’s program and they discuss the issues of Climate Change, the impact of the development of Canadian tar sands, the resurgence of awareness of climate science and the part that local sustainability projects have in this growing national movement.

Mainstream media bias and misinformation have played a large part in efforts to debunk well established and very compelling scientific studies confirming the existence, degree,  pace and implications of Climate Change.  However it is still a very complex subject and citizens will benefit from informing themselves of the current scientific consensus and emerging developments.  The following links provide good places to start…
