Welcome to The Radio Report hosted by Frances Trotta. Frances guest is Ken Keppeler – of the internationally known  and acclaimed Bayou Seco.  As their website states, Bayou Seco’s roots are deep in the southwest but their branches reach far across the world.  Both Ken and his wife Jeanie McLerie have been involved with GMCR from it’s beginnings and Ken is currently a board member.

They discuss Ken’s first brushes with community radio in Los Angeles and how he later became more directly involved in KUNM in Albuquerque as well as the character of various CR stations across the country and the responsibilities that CR continues to uphold as the media landscape continues to e/devolve.  And, of course, the vision for Gila / Mimbres Community Radio.

The Radio Report airs

  • Tuesday and Thursday at 6:30pm
  • and Saturdays at 12:15pm
