  • Absentee & Early Voting
    Absentee Voting for the March 5, 2013 Regular Municipal Election for the Town of Silver City will begin on January 29, 2013 and will end March 1, 2013.  Voters wishing to vote by Absentee Ballot may request an application to vote by absentee by calling the Town Clerk’s Office at 534-6346.  Early Voting begins on February 13, 2013 and ends March 1, 2013. To be eligible to vote in the Town of Silver City’s March 5, 2013 Municipal Election, you must be registered by Tuesday, February 5, 2013.  More election details further down this page

29 January 2013 / 5pm
A/ Deadline for Withdrawal of Write-in Candidacy
B/ First day absentee ballots can be issued/mailed to voters whose applications have been approved
5 February 2013 / 5pm
Grant County Clerk closes voter registration books
13 February 2013
First day for early voting using voting machines/electronic vote tabulators.
1 March 2013
A/ Last day for early voting using machine/tabulators.
B/ Last day absentee ballots can be issued/ mailed to voters.
C/ Last day candidates may appoint a challenger & 1 alternate and a watcher & 1 alternate for each polling place by 5pm
4 March 2013 / by 3pm
Last day the governing body may appoint a qualified elector for each polling place to serve as observer
5 March 2013 Election Day
Polls open 7am – 7pm
11 March 2013
No later than 7pm candidates elected shall appear before the Municipal Clerk to sign a written statement acknowledging receipt of the certificate of election and acknowledging that he/she is legally qualified to hold office.

Check Your Voter Registration
to ensure that your name and address are correct. Any corrections need to be made with the County Clerk before 5 February 2013 in order to vote in the upcoming election.

Check Your Voting District
The Town Council redistricted in November 2011. Please review the new voting district map to check which district your address is in per your voter registration. Call the County Clerk’s office at 574-0042 if there are any discrepancies.
