Operations Update: Fire activity has declined significantly thanks to the weather and ongoing efforts of firefighters and
incident crews on the Trout Fire. Today, firefighters are working to reinforce containment lines and extinguish any
remaining heat near the fire’s edge, especially in heavier fuels near Black Peak. Crews also remain focused on key post-
fire suppression priorities, including fireline rehabilitation, equipment backhaul, reseeding, and chipping. These
coordinated efforts will continue through the weekend.
Evacuations: All evacuation orders for the Trout Fire were lifted on June 26, 2025. Residents should remain alert and
stay informed as changing weather conditions as flash flooding and debris flows may still pose a risk in the area if storms
occur.
Weather & Smoke: Thunderstorms, hail, and frequent lightning was observed in and around the fire area yesterday.
Today, warmer temperatures in the mid-80s are expected with a potential for afternoon scattered storms, gusty outflows,
and flash flooding. Detailed smoke information can be found at https://www.wildlandfiresmoke.net.
