Earth Matters /
Alex Renirie on Methane

today10 May 2016

This week on Earth Matters, co-producer and executive director of UGWA / Upper Gila Watershed Alliance, Donna Stevens talks with Alex Renirie, the Sierra Club’s NM/CO Organizing Representative for the Beyond Dirty Fuels Campaign.

They discuss the new – and first ever – industry standards regulating the release of methane, a very powerful greenhouse gas.  On May 12, the EPA / Environmental Protection Agency released their final methane rule and Renirie discusses its features, how it will reduce methane pollution, and improve public health and the economy in New Mexico and nationwide, how jobs will be affected, and much more.
