Earth Matters / The Wilderness Society

today23 February 2016

This week on Earth Matters, Upper Gila Watershed Alliance Director Donna Stevens interviews Alison Flint, Planning Specialist with the Wilderness Society, and Michael Casaus, New Mexico State Director of the Wilderness Society.

Their topic is Forest Plan revisions for the Gila National Forest.  The Gila’s current management plan is from 1986 and is badly out of date.  Forest plans provide guidance for all proposed projects and management decisions in the Gila National Forest, and are thus extremely important for natural resource protection.  Listen to this week’s show to learn details about forest plan revisions, and how interested citizens can get involved.

Earth Matters is broadcast
Tuesday, Thursday & Sunday at 10am and Thursday at 8pm.
