- 4th Annual Wild & Scenic Film Festival and
Gila River CD/DVD Release Party
6:30pm / Buckhorn Saloon and Opera House – Pinos Altos / The Wild & Scenic Film Festival is presented by Gila Conservation Coalition and features films honoring our remaining wild rivers, pointing out misguided dams over the decades and presenting inspiring tales of activism around the globe / The event is also the release party for the combo CD/DVD release – Wild Gila: Forever Free with songs written and performed by local musicians and films about the Gila. Several of the musicians on the CD will perform their songs live during the film fest. The CD/DVD will be available for purchase and all proceeds from the film fest and sales of the CD/DVD set will benefit the Gila Conservation Coalition’s work to protect the Gila River / Tickets are available at the door and students are free / And as you may know Ella Jaz Kirk was deeply involved in activism to protect the Gila River and likewise involved in the planning of the film festival. She and the other Aldo students who left us too soon and current students who continue their activism will be acknowledged during the event
