This week’s installment of Earth Matters is hosted by Dr Kim McCreery, SW Regional Director and Staff Scientist with the New Mexico Wilderness Alliance and Co-Director of the African Wild Dog Conservancy

Her guest is Nancy Kaminski who speaks on the issue of critically endangered Mexican wolves and the recovery program in the Apache and Gila National Forests. As mandated by the Endangered Species Act, Mexican gray wolves were reintroduced to the Southwest in 1998. The program has been mired in controversy ever since.

Nancy has been involved with gray wolf conservation education and advocacy for 33 years – originally in her native Wisconsin and for the last 10 years, she has focused on Mexican gray wolves here in the Southwest.
