Uprising Radio – founded by Sonali Kolhatkar – emphasizes connecting global issues with local ones as simply informing listeners of the problems in the world and our communities is not enough. It seeks to motivate listeners to take an active role in their communities.
Uprising airs daily on Pacifica’s KPFK in Los Angeles but also provides a nationally syndicated Weekly Edition which airs Saturday mornings on GMCR at 11am that presents the best of their national and international programming from the daily show.
