Gila / Mimbres Community Radio will present two extraordinary singer-songwriter-performers – David Vidal and Bugs Salcido – in a benefit fundraiser on Friday 5 August 2011 at the Webb Theater on the campus of WNMU / Western New Mexico University.
The all ages event will be at 7pm with doors opening at 6:30. The Webb Theater is an
intimate setting and seating is limited so early arrival is encouraged. The suggested donation at the door is $15 or two for $25. Refreshments will be available.
GMCR is pleased and proud to have the support of the following sponsors for this event –

GMCR will give a brief update on its progress with the radio station since obtaining its CP /
Construction Permit for a full power FM Non-Commercial / Educational license, including plans for 24/7 streaming internet radio prior to activating the station on the airwaves. An information table will be available with materials describing the project and opportunities to participate in a number of ways.
The proceeds of the event will be used to further GMCR’s effort to establish and operate a
community radio station in Silver City that will serve Grant County and adjacent areas of
Southwest New Mexico 24/7. GMCR is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization and filed its
application with the FCC in October 2007.
