This week, Jean visits with LandArt Landscaping proprietor, Karen Danhauer, who’s been creating landscapes in Silver City and Grant County for 17 years, specializing in designs with native plants and stonework as well as vegetable gardens. They’ll discuss how to begin a design and how to design and choose plants for low water and low maintenance.
Back To The Garden is GMCR’s newest weekly program and our very first to be webcast live each week. Listen in on conversations with local gardeners about their specialties – from flowers and herbs to heirlooms, native plants, water harvesting, pruning, and so much more – as well as what’s going on in the garden this week, with tips on managing things well.
Jean is a UPI-award-winning radio feature reporter in her first-ever live interview show – devoted to supporting chronic and continuing gardeners, beginning gardeners, and others who’d like to make their lives work more harmoniously with nature. A self-proclaimed “gardening student,” Jean is a passive solar designer, certified Permaculture designer, and solar cooking advocate, specializing in the creation of harmonious relationships between home, yard, garden, sun, wind, water and more.
Enjoy!
