In this week’s edition of Earth Matters, Donna Stevens interviews Shelby Hallmark of the Grant County Trails Group and Silver City Greenway to Continental Divide Trail Linkage Project, Teresa Martinez, director of the Continental Divide Trail Coalition, and Bob Wilson, founder and longtime board member of the Gila Conservation Education Center.

The Continental Divide Trail (CDT) traverses more than 3,000 miles from Canada to Mexico. It’s significant for geographic, historic, physical, and spiritual reasons. Silver City was recently designated as the first CDT “Gateway Community” in the country.

Join us to learn about the trail itself, the Gateway Community, the Trail Linkage Project, the Wounded Warrior hike, and upcoming trail events.
