We all want economic prosperity here in Grant Co and southwest New Mexico, but in order to be sustainable over the long term, economic development shouldn’t come at the expense of the environment or the health and well being of our community.  The sustainable approach to economic development supports the Triple Bottom Line priorities of environmental sustainability, social justice and economic opportunity. The Southwest New Mexico Green Chamber of Commerce was founded on these principles in 2010 with the goal of supporting and connecting locally-owned businesses dedicated to building sustainable economy communities.

Green Chamber / SW NM ChapterIn this program, we’ll learn more from Cissy and Lynda about why “everything local” is important to sustaining our economy in southwest New Mexico and how the SWNM Green Chamber of Commerce is working to achieve this goal through business networking, buy local campaign, and other initiatives.
