Earth Matters w/ Dr. Martha Desmond and Jonathan Hayes

today9 February 2021

Please join us for this week’s Earth Matters program, when Donna Stevens of the Upper Gila Watershed Alliance talks with Dr. Martha Desmond of NMSU’s Fish, Wildlife, and Conservation Ecology Department and Jonathan Hayes, the Executive Director of Audubon Southwest, (New Mexico and Arizona). The discussion ranges from New Mexico’s tragic bird die-off in fall 2020 to the status of our state’s birds in general. Why did so many birds die during the 2020 fall migration? What NM birds are vulnerable to climate change? And, perhaps most importantly, what can you do to help?
