Another fun show today.
Remember, this station is getting an increasing listenership and we need all of you members out there to get your friends, neighbors, co-workers, and relatives, who listen to the station, to join up and send in some membership dues or donate to the station or volunteer. It costs a lot to run a radio station and, so far, it is all volunteers, including the hardest worker of all, our station manager, Kyle. Unfortunately, the electricity, equipment needs, repairs, rent, utilities, payments to the folks like BMI and ASCAP – performing rights folks – and many other monthly charges we pay to be on the air, are not given to us voluntarily, they all want money and we have to supply them with it or we go off the air. It took us nine years to get on the air and it would be next to impossible to pull this off again. KURU is a voice and a choice, so by making the choice to listen you are making the choice to help support the station.
Enough of that, just a little reality check there.
