GMCR / KURU broadcasts and webcasts The Real News of The Day Monday through Friday at 6pm. However, under their current schedule, production may not be complete before 6pm, so we air the program on the following day.

In addition to their daily news summary, GMCR / KURU will broadcast additional programs in a one hour magazine format that presents the best news, interviews, analysis, panels and presentations from their prolific output. Since 2007, They have produced more than 7,000 stories that have been viewed more than 100 million times.
Like GMCR, TRNN is a non-profit and viewer-supported. They don’t accept advertising, nor government or corporate funding.
But what makes The Real News truly different and significant is their commitment to both journalistic integrity AND citizen activism. Along with core professional staff, they are developing the next generation of progressive journalists and commentators by providing training and experience to minority, urban and poverty stricken youth in their home town of Baltimore, MD and a model for alternative media across the country and around the world.
