Climate change is causing higher temperatures and drier conditions for Silver City and the Southwest.   Earth Matters co-producer Allyson Siwik of Gila Resources Information Project hosts this week’s program with Nick SussilloDirector of the Town of Silver City Office of Sustainability – in which they discuss the predicted impacts of climate change in our area and how the Office of Sustainability has stepped up to the challenge of climate mitigation (reducing our greenhouse gas emissions) and working to make our community more resilient to climate impacts (climate adaptation). Learn more about on-going discussions regarding wild fire protection, water conservation, public health, and electricity reliability.
