Tuesday Morning Beat 8-13-2024.  An interview with filmmaker Sara Terry, director of

”A Decent Home” a documentary about manufactured homes in America.  Focused on how these last vestiges of affordable housing are facing trials as rich landowners, private equity firms buy up the property, increase the rents, causing some home owners to be evicted from land they rent but do not own.  Sara Terry says she is not a social activist; her work ethic is to create a space for voices to be heard, she does not ‘give a voice to others’; ‘she says everybody was born with a voice.  Her work intends to amplify the voices of people – we just need to listen.

She reminds us that:

corporate greed is just a story…and we can change the narrative
